/ Head of Design
Vaughn Aldredge has designed experiences used by billions of people around the world. Over the course of the past 25 years, he has been helping technology companies turn data-driven and innovative concepts into useful, easy-to-use, and fun products. Joining Plunk's founding team in 2019, Vaughn drives product design and brand strategy for the company.
Most recently at HERE Technologies, Vaughn led the teams designing the Open Location Platform, a development environment for location-based services. Prior to HERE, Vaughn spent most of his career leading design efforts at startups that play in the data analytics space. A design director and one of the founding employees of Medio Systems, a pioneer in big data analytics (later acquired by HERE), Vaughn led the product design and brand strategy of numerous mobile platform products for telecommunications customers like T-Mobile and Verizon. Vaughn was also the design director at Intelligent Results, a data-mining start-up acquired by DataFirst. There he led the design of software that provided predictive modeling and scoring for risk managers at financial institutions.
In the early days of Amazon.com, Vaughn led the design of products that are industry standards in e-commerce today, including single-page checkout, Amazon’s seller storefronts, and 3rd-party marketplace.
He studied at The New School's Parsons School of Design and at The Art Institutes. In his spare time, he rides a garage full of different bikes, and remodels mid-century ranches with his 2 sons.
